A rare copy of Renault 12 Sinpar, manufactured in 1974 in limited edition, bought in Switzerland, arrived these days at RAR Vrancea for the issuance of the vehicle’s identity card.

According to RAR representatives, the sedan version of the Renault 12 Sinpar was produced in limited numbers.
“From a distance it could easily be mistaken for a Dacia 1300, but the additional lever next to the gear shifter and the inscription <4x4> shatters the optical illusion: in the photos is a Renault 12 Sinpar, manufactured in 1974. If the station wagon version had notable results in the Côte d’Ivoire – Côte d’Azur Rally, the sedan version was extremely little known and manufactured in limited numbers , and one of the copies was bought in Switzerland by a Romanian and brought to RAR Vrancea for the issuance of the CIV”, say the representatives of the Romanian Car Registry.
According to them, the seller claims that the car has not been used for almost 40 years, but he remembers that his neighbors wondered how he could climb the local hills without problems, without knowing what was under the car’s body.
