Prosecutors of the Organized Crime and Terrorism Investigation Department – Constanța Territorial Service have ordered “the detention of six defendants, foreign citizens, investigated under the aspect of committing the crimes of high-risk and high-risk international drug trafficking, high-risk and high-risk drug trafficking and illegal possession of dangerous drugs for personal consumption”.
“In the case, it was held that the defendants introduced into Romania, transported, stored and possessed significant quantities of high-risk and high-risk drugs, for the purpose of marketing during a festival that takes place in the resort of Mamaia, Constanța county, at on 27.04.2023, at different times and locations, being caught in the act while selling such substances. Also, the defendants promoted the sale of drugs through messaging applications, stating the prices for each type of drug”, DIICOT prosecutors announced.
During the action, four home search warrants were implemented, and 300 ecstasy tablets, 70 2 CB (“pink cocaine”) tablets and 100 grams of cocaine, 50 grams of ketamine were identified and seized. , 10 grams of hash and 10 doses of methamphetamine.
Also on Friday, the rights and freedoms judge of the Constanţa Court ordered the preventive arrest of the defendants, for a period of 30 days.
