A grenade from the First World War was found on Saturday afternoon by a local from Cândêşti, Botoşani county, on a recently paved road.

According to ISU Botoşani, the defensive hand grenade was found within the radius of the village of Cândêşti by a local resident on a village road, recently paved.
The pyrotechnic team sent to the scene found that the grenade came from the First World War and could explode with any mechanical action.
The ammunition was safely transported to the Copălău military range, for destruction at a later date.
Firefighters advise those who find objects that look like elements of unexploded ammunition not to move them, not to dismantle them and not to hand them over to economic operators, not to introduce them into buildings, rooms or homes, not to hit, cut or dismantle them and not to use open fire near them.
