A Palestinian teenager was fatally shot on Friday in clashes with the Israeli army in the West Bank, the Palestinian medical authorities announced, quoted by The Times of Israel.
The violence occurred in the Palestinian town of Tuqu, located near the city of Bethlehem. Israeli soldiers opened fire on violent Palestinian demonstrators.
A 16-year-old Palestinian was shot dead by the Israeli army, according to the Palestinian Authority Ministry of Health.
The situation remains tense in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, after a series of Palestinian attacks and in the context of Israeli military operations. About 100 Palestinians have been killed since the beginning of the year in raids by Israeli security services or while attempting to carry out attacks. Also, at least 19 people were killed in anti-Israeli attacks.
