At least nine people were killed, and others were injured, on Friday, in attacks launched by Ukrainian military forces on the city of Donetsk, which is under Russian occupation, pro-Russian regional authorities announced, according to the Le Monde newspaper.

“Ukrainian forces attacked a hospital, a park and a residential building,” Denis Pushilin, the president of the self-proclaimed Russian People’s Republic of Donetsk, said on Friday.
The toll is nine dead, including women and children, and 16 wounded, according to the Donetsk Military Coordination Center.
For its part, the Kyiv Administration accused the Russian military forces of attacking the Ukrainian cities of Uman and Dnipro on Friday morning. The current toll is 23 dead, according to the Ukrainian authorities. The European Union has vehemently condemned the bombings carried out by the Russian army on civilian targets in eastern Ukraine, categorizing them as “war crimes”.
