The general mayor of the capital, Nicuşor Dan, declared on Saturday that the development of the feasibility study for the intelligent traffic light system is blocked by an appeal.

“Steps have been taken for the intelligent traffic light system. At the moment we are blocked by an appeal at the Court of Appeal. That is, first a pre-feasibility study was done because we do not have the evidence of what is happening in all the approximately 500 intersections with traffic lights. After that, on the basis of this document, the documentation for the purchase was made, the purchase was launched, offers were submitted, they were evaluated, we assigned. However, an appeal was accepted by the CNSC and after it it reached the Court of Appeal”, said Nicuşor Dan.
According to it, the Court of Appeal will pronounce on May 12.
“Immediately after that we will be able to do the feasibility study. In parallel, we obtained the money for the study and for the first stage of the project from PNRR”, added the mayor.
