There is determination at the level of the American administration for Romanians to benefit from visas

“We continued, in Washington, to present the positive role that Romania plays in the stability of the Black Sea region. The discussions at Congress, with the representatives Colin Allred, Eric Swalwell, Bill Huizenga, were focused on the security of the Black Sea area, all of them being supporters of the Black Sea Security Act, but also members of the decision-making commissions on American foreign policy. I invited them to visit Romania to feel even better the challenges of the region and the answers we can find together, for example by developing concrete projects within the Three Seas Initiative.

The meeting at the National Democratic Institute with President Derek Mitchell and his team gave the opportunity to debate about common values ​​and projects for the development of an inclusive society, which would give an equal chance to all Romanian citizens”, wrote Ştefan Radu Oprea on Facebook.

According to him, at the State Department he discussed the political situation with the Director for Central and Eastern Europe, Alan Meltzer, and with Jessica Warder, who is responsible for Romania.

“We did not forget to score the Visa Waiver program and we found that there is determination at the level of the American administration for Romanians to benefit from visas in the shortest possible time”, says the PSD spokesperson.

According to him, at the Department of Commerce, the director for Central and Eastern Europe, Doreen Parekh, and Antonios Louloudakis, the commercial officer responsible for Romania, appreciated the intensification of commercial exchanges which reached a maximum of 5.1 billion dollars.

“However, there is a lot of space for the development of commercial relations and the intensification of American investments in Romania. Last but not least, the participation of the Romanian delegation in Select USA, the American program for attracting companies and investments, was appreciated. For the third time, we are the largest delegation in Europe, with start-ups in technology, and the creativity of Romanian entrepreneurs is already recognized”, wrote Ştefan Radu Oprea.
