According to the IGPR, 526 persons who are the subject of alerts in the SIS (Schengen Information System) were located in Romania, following the additional exchange of information through the SIRENE Bureau.
The Romanian police officers implemented 17 European arrest warrants, finding 107 persons flagged by the member states as having refused entry or stay in the Schengen territory, 235 persons who were wanted in order to participate in a judicial procedure and 10 persons who were flagged as disappeared from the partners in the Schengen states.
Also, from the territory of Romania, 26 documents were seized, 38 vehicles and 2 registration plates were found, which were wanted by the partners in the Schengen Area, to be confiscated or used as evidence in legal proceedings.
At the same time, 190 persons wanted by the Romanian authorities were identified by the foreign partners on their territory. Of these, 22 were pursued by the Romanian Police, based on European arrest warrants, 17 were reported by the member states as having refused entry or stay in the Schengen territory, another 31 people were wanted for participating in a judicial procedure, and 10 were reported missing by the Romanian authorities.
At the same time, the foreign partners discovered on their territory 4 vehicles and 15 documents sought by the Romanian authorities, with a view to making them unavailable or to be used as evidence in criminal proceedings.
