To avoid waiting times in queues, drivers are advised to choose alternative routes on the A2 highway, respectively:
DN 2A Constanta – Hârşova – Slobozia – Urziceni – DN 2 – Bucharest;
A2 – Feteşti or Drajna – DN 3A – Lehliu-Gară – DN 3 – Fundulea – Bucharest;
DN 3 Constanța – Murfatlar – Adamclisi – Ostrov (crossing by ferry) – Călăraşi – DN 21 Călăraşi – Drajna – A2 Drajna – Bucharest (or from Călăraşi municipality – DN 3 – Lehliu-Gară – Fundulea – Bucharest).
According to the Infotraffic Center, depending on the evolution of traffic values, on Monday there is a possibility that the traffic police will take the measure of traffic diversion for certain time intervals and on some kilometer sections from the A2 highway to these alternative roads.
Also, in the second part of Monday, when the traffic values will be increasing on the A2 Bucharest-Constanța highway, the traffic police may divert traffic or impose traffic restrictions also on the direction towards the coast, so they recommend drivers to consider detours to reduce time spent in traffic and reach your destination safely.
“In this context, we recommend drivers to show respect for other traffic participants, signaling any intention to change the traffic lane or direction, after adequate insurance. Also, drivers must avoid risky overtaking and increase the safety distance between vehicles”, says the Infotraffic Center.
