“I am not a supporter of increases, I want us to assume in the coalition that there will be no more increases in the future salary law. The current increments should be included in the body of the salary and from there let’s finish this Romanian invention with dozens of increments for which we fight in court, sometimes the employee, the employer loses them. There will be for those who make guards, who cannot miss work, there will be certain components. The current increments are included in the body of the salary and I’m done, because they were taxed the same anyway and I’m done once. Computer growth, it’s not computer growth anymore, it’s hard conditions. One ministry has, I don’t know what, a 15% increase, the other ministry doesn’t, then those who don’t have it move to those who do. Where do we want to go? Just as in the private sector we have to remove the exceptions, to create a fair competitive profile, the same must happen in the budgetary area”, said Marcel Ciolacu on Monday evening, on Antena 3.
Asked about the savings that must be made at the level of the ministries, he said that the politician’s decision has already been felt: “In the first months there were expenditures on goods and services of 17% in each budget, at this moment, in March, it is 9%, there is already a comeback”.
The PSD president also spoke about stopping employment at the state, in certain fields.
“We cannot inflate the apparatus of the Romanian state, even if it is central or local, and here are two totally different approaches that we had within the coalition. You can’t keep inflating a balloon fish because at some point it’s no longer sustainable, it’s normal that we wait for the new wage law, the new pension law to reform in the true sense, but until then we can’t let’s see how the state employment continues. They stop, except in health and education, and then by memorandum you come before the Government, give the explanations and let go if you need these jobs”, explained Marcel Ciolacu.
