According to ISU Timiş, on Monday evening, from 7:00 p.m., the diving crews withdrew to the base. Three search-rescue teams from ISU Timiş and three more teams from ISU Arada will continue the mission on the surface throughout the night.
The search with divers will resume tomorrow morning.
On Monday, two sonars and a SMURD helicopter were involved in the search for the victims. They are looking for a 29-year-old man from Arad, a 31-year-old man from Nădlac, and two children from Nădlac.
According to the police from Arad, on Sunday evening, a 33-year-old man from Semlac moved from the left bank of the Mures river to the right bank, with a wooden boat.
There were 11 people in the boat, five adults and six children. Approximately three meters from the shore, the boat sank, the investigators determined.
As a result of the incident, an almost four-year-old child from Semlac died.
“The man who was driving does not have a boat driver’s certificate, and the boat is not registered. Testing with the alcohol test device indicated an alcohol blood level of 0.31 mg./l. pure alcohol in the exhaled air, and biological samples were collected in order to determine the blood alcohol level”, the Arad Police announced.
The man was detained for 24 hours to be presented to the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Arad Court with the proposal to take preventive measures. The research is being done in a criminal case of manslaughter.
