Romania is part of the 2nd ballot of League B, along with Serbia, Slovenia and Northern Ireland.
According to FRF, the first two leagues will have 16 teams, and the third will have 19 and will be played in a round-robin group system.
“The winners of the A League groups will advance to the final tournament of the League of Nations. The first two placed in the groups of League A remain in this league for the upcoming EURO 2025 preliminaries. The 4 teams ranked in the 3rd places will play a play-off against the teams in the 2nd places in the groups of League B, the winners will progress further in the League A The last 4 placed in the groups of League A will be relegated. The 4 group winners from League B will advance to the higher league. The best 3 holders of the 3 places will play a play-off against the best holders of the second places in League C. The winners will progress to League B. The holders of the last place in the groups of League B plus the weakest team ranked in the 3 places will be relegated to League C. The 5 winners of the groups in League C will advance to League B”, FRF explained how the competition takes place.
