A 35-year-old Ukrainian man was arrested by Dutch police for drunk driving, and a fake driver’s license “belonging” to former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was found in his car.
35-year-old Ukrainian arrested for drink-driving by forging Boris Johnson’s license
The incident took place on Sunday, shortly after midnight, when the man, a resident of the city of Zuidhorn, in the Netherlands, crashed into a pole in Groningen.
After the impact, the man abandoned the car, according to police spokesman Thijs Mastra, but was later found by the police on a bridge, not far from the scene of the accident. “The 35-year-old man could not identify himself and refused to take the breathalyzer test.”
The police then found the fake document containing the personal data of the former British prime minister, the Groningen police announced on their Instagram account.
Law enforcement agencies could not say where the counterfeit license was produced, but Kysia Hekster, a former Russia correspondent for Dutch public broadcaster Nos, explained in a tweet that fake driver’s licenses can be easily bought at tourist shops in Ukraine.
