The registrations of new passenger cars in Romania reached a volume of 9,865 units in April, increasing by 16.48% compared to April 2022, according to data from the Romanian Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACAROM).
In the first four months of 2023, new car registrations reached the value of 46,831 units, up 25% compared to the similar period of 2022, respectively 37,447 units.
Regarding the second-hand cars registered for the first time in Romania, their volume reached 21,846 units in April 2023, a decrease of 14.4% compared to April 2022.
In the first four months of 2023, the registrations of second-hand cars for the first time in Romania reached the value of 98,453 units, down by 6.5% compared to the similar period of 2022, respectively 105,323 units.
Here is the ranking by brand of new cars, January-April 2023:
Dacia=16,476 units
Renault= 3,865 units
Hyundai = 3,201 units
Skoda = 3,013 units
Toyota= 2,837 units
Volkswagen = 2,705 units
Ford= 2,246 units
Mercedes= 1,705 units
BMW= 1,563 units
Suzuki = 1,249 units.
