According to INS; the number of unemployed (aged 15-74) estimated for March of 2023 was 453.1 thousand people, decreasing compared to the previous month (459.3 thousand people) and decreasing compared to the same period of the previous year (463.6 thousand people ).
By gender, the unemployment rate for men exceeded that of women by 0.8 percentage points, the values being 5.8% for men and 5.0% for women.
INS draws attention to the high level of 22.2% of the unemployment rate among young people (15-24 years old).
For adults (25-74 years old), the unemployment rate was estimated at 4.4% for March 2023 (4.1% for women and 4.7% for men).
The number of unemployed aged 25-74 represented 76.7% of the total number of unemployed estimated for March 2023.
