Considering the reduced demand on the Bucharest – Chitila – Buftea – Moara Vlăsiei – Grădiştea – Sitaru relationship, the Intercommunity Development Association for Public Transport Bucharest – Ilfov (TPBI) decided to suspend regional line 402 starting on May 8, 2023.
Travelers traveling on this line will be able to use line 477 Bucharest (Piaţa Presei Libere) – Sitaru, on the common route with line 402 between Petreşti and Sitaru. Also, for the rest of the route of the suspended line, travelers can use local or regional transport lines on various sections, such as: 97, 112, 441, 462, 466, 470, 476 and 479.
TPBI permanently monitors the activity of transport operators at the level of the entire Bucharest-Ilfov region and optimizes the lines depending on the transport demand, the resources of the administrative-territorial units and the available transport capacity.
