“Metrorex informs that today, 05.05.2023, around 10:30 a.m., at the Aviatorilor metro station, a passenger fell onto the carriageway, on line 1 (Berceni direction), a possible suicide attempt. SMURD teams intervene to provide first aid. Metrorex staff is reorganizing traffic on a single wire, so that trains run in both directions,” Metrorex announces.
According to the procedures, the authorities will open an investigation to establish the circumstances in which the event occurred.
“We intervene to extract a person who is under a subway lining at the Aviatorilor station. 1 special fire truck, 1 extrication, 2 SMURD, Special Rescue Detachment are operating”, informed the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations “Dealul Spirii” Bucharest-Ilfov.
The electricity supply was stopped for the access of the rescuers.
