Six Ukrainian demining workers were killed on Saturday after their team was targeted by a Russian bombardment in the Kherson region.
The attack injured two other people, including a female paramedic, the State Emergency Service reported, reports The Kyiv Independent.
23 people were killed and 46 wounded in an attack on the city of Kherson on May 3, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported on May 4.
The city of Kherson and surrounding settlements have come under constant Russian artillery fire since they were liberated in November, with Russian forces retreating to the eastern bank of the Dnipro River.
The Kherson authorities are preparing to evacuate the residents if the region will be subject to even more intense bombing.
