Mihai Mărgineanu, Daniel Nuţă, Toto Dumitrescu, Emilia Popescu, Lia Sinchevici, Smaranda Caragea, Răzvan Fodor, Radu Vâlcan, Ştefan Lupu, Marius Stănescu, Ovidiu Niculescu, Jorge, Mihai Popescu, Vasile Calofir, Cosmina Păsărin, Adelina Pestrițu, Emi Alupei, together with guest star Florin Călinescu, they tell a story without special effects, in which, as the team hilariously announces, “no one is blue like Avatar, no one dances like Joker and no one saves Nemo, but in which, however, many will find”.
“We don’t choose who we love” is the conclusion of the film in which Eva, a psychologist specializing in couple therapy, is about to get married and her best friends organize her bachelorette party at a discreet tantra-yoga retreat in Vama Veche. What they don’t know is that its owners are Eva’s ex-boyfriend and his pregnant wife and that the real yoga instructors will be replaced, because of a tekel puppy, by a fisherman, a cook and a local teacher.
“We live in times when happiness is sought more externally than internally, through social media, posts and reactions to posts, fun sounds better if seen in an Instagram story, and peace or, rather, inner restlessness it is more often found in yoga sessions and therapy sessions than in individual introspection and analysis. We find the funny side of these times and laugh, especially since we all find ourselves in it in one way or another. I can assure everyone that we have fun filming, not just on social media, and the audience will have a lot of laughs in the cinemas too, not just in the posts. Let it be beautiful online, but also in reality!”, says the director Petre Năstasealready in the Old Customs House, in the thick of the action.
Filming of the feature film “Retreat Vama Veche” will be in the summer of 2023, and the release in cinemas is announced to be at the beginning of the following year.
