It is the first three-day edition, and the surprises will continue. Fans of new things will once again have the opportunity to discover not only newly established wineries, but also international producers present, for the first time, in Romania. Those who want to deepen their knowledge can participate in the nine masterclasses organized by top producers. We are writing a piece of history while Prince Matei Domains transforms into DeMatei Winery and launches new ranges, Patima and Migală. We also taste a touch of history, with Feteștile negre from SERVE, the founder of the winery, Count Guy de Poix, being the first great promoter of this variety.
All those who appreciate Italian tastes and refined aromas will be able to enjoy an exclusive selection of the producers’ specialties in the Taste of Italy salon, organized by ICE – the Italian Foreign Trade Agency, most of them being presented for the first time in Romania. The entire exhibition is designed as a true feast dedicated to food and wine, which have made Italy famous throughout the world. Producers of wine, olive oil, cheese and delicacies from established regions will participate – Veneto, Puglia, Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Campania, Sicily, Piemonte, Lazio, Lombardy or Abruzzo.
“Italy is the European country with the largest number of agri-food products with designation of origin and geographical indication recognized by the European Union – 847 – another proof of the quality of the products, but, above all, of the strong link between the excellence of Italian agri-food products and the region of origin. We are happy to note that the public in Romania is currently paying special attention to top Italian agro-food products”, said the Italian ambassador in Bucharest, His Excellency Alfredo Maria Durante Mangoni.
“At RO-Wine is the place where I feel, discover and enjoy the continuous progress of the wine-loving public in Romania. The proof is the fact that we, as an exhibiting company, have grown every year in terms of presence, to the joy of the partners we represent. The RO-Wine public is an educated public that understands wine consumption. Also, the participation of HoReCa industry representatives is remarkable. And surprisingly, I always see many young people, which can only make me happy. It is a festival aligned with the new trends in organization and logistics, clearly superior to other similar events”, says Carmen Savu, co-owner of ParmaFood.
And in this edition we are happy with the participation of Carrefour, through the Deschidem Vinul Românesc (DVR) program, an initiative that started from the confidence in the national brand power of Romanian wine, first as a support for local producers and wine lovers, then as one of the most relevant selections of exclusive wines from Romania. Over ten local varieties can be discovered at the DVR stand, during the three days of the festival.
Also at RO-Wine you will have the chance to be the first to taste the wines of Strehan Winery, the newest wine producer in Dealu Mare. “Our participation in RO Wine represents the debut of Strehan Winery on the Romanian wine market. We thank the organizers for the opportunity to be on the list of exhibitors, on which occasion we officially launch our first range of wines”, announces Vasile Ene, the owner of the winery.
On Friday, at 2 p.m., we open the first bottles!
We are waiting for you and – don’t forget! – if you work in the HoReCa industry, access is free, based on registration on the festival website – https://romaniawinefestival.com.
