According to a Government release, the two officials addressed topics related to the bilateral relationship, both sides appreciating the high level of cooperation in fields such as technology, defense industry or IT. Solutions regarding irrigation systems in areas affected by drought and the development of energy storage capacities, along with the identification of new solutions for the gas supply of our region, were among the areas of development of economic relations.

Nicolae Ciucă highlighted the importance given by Romania to combating anti-Semitism and promoting the role of the Jewish community in our history.

At the same time, the prime minister thanked both for the Israeli investments in Romania, and for the support granted for joining the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, which is a country objective assumed at the level of the Executive.

“The Speaker of the Knesset conveyed his thanks for the constant support given by our country at the international level to the State of Israel and the peace process in the Middle East. For his part, the high official emphasized the relevance of the historical and cultural connections between the two peoples, an important part of the citizens of the State of Israel being born or having parents in Romania”, the Government transmitted.
