On Saturday, CFR Cluj defeated Sepsi Sf. Gheorghe on the road in the penultimate stage of the football Super League play off.
The guests won 2-1 after the score was equal at halftime, 1-1.
Midfielder Claudiu Petrila scored for Cluj in the 33rd minute, and the hosts equalized ten minutes later through the success of striker Alexandru Tudorie. Nana Boateng scored for Cluj in the 49th minute, but the goal was disallowed for an offside position after consulting the VAR system. CFR managed to score the winning goal in the 82nd minute through Rangelo Janga.
One stage before the end of the championship, CFR is in 3rd place, and Sepsi is in sixth position.
In the last stage of the play off, Sepsi will play away with Universitatea Craiova, and CFR Cluj will meet Farul Constanţa at home.
