The Ministry of Education is trying to avoid triggering a general strike

The Ministry of Education also shows that it is concerned and undertakes the necessary steps to protect the right to education of students.

“Today (Friday – no) I had a video conference with the county school inspectorates, during which I presented the general framework of the social dialogue and told them to constantly monitor the way in which the educational activity is carried out at the county level, constantly communicating with all actors involved in the educational process. In this approach, we count on the responsibility of the directors of each educational unit. Educational units must permanently communicate to parents the necessary information regarding the development of teaching activities, possible program reorganizations or changes in the ability to supervise students during their presence in the school space. We are making every effort to ensure that the educational process continues and that the students are safe in the educational institutions”, the Ministry of Education reports.

The Ministry also conveys that it will continue the constant and open dialogue with the representatives of the representative trade union federations in pre-university education, in order to find the best solutions based on the Social Dialogue Law no. 367/2022.
