Newly promoted CSM Târgu Jiu, occupying 10th place in the League of Flowers, provided the surprise of the Final 4 tournament in Bistriţa, passing the home team in the semifinals and making a good figure in the final.
The scorers of the game were Crina Pintea and Cristina Neagu, for CSM Bucharest, and Angela Puşcaş, for CSM Târgu Jiu, all with 8 goals each.
Following the evolution in the final, CSM Târgu Jiu will participate directly in the group stage of the EHF European League, 2023-2024 edition.
