The president of the Dolj County Council, Cosmin Vasile, wrote on Facebook on Monday that the two building bodies, attached to each of the old terminals, are designed to increase the areas intended for taking over passengers at check-in and check-out.
In total, a built area of 1,500 sq m and a developed area of 2,250 sq m was put into operation by Craiova International Airport, after an investment by the Dolj County Council that exceeds 31 million lei.
Our investment will continue with the construction of a parking lot with 187 places, the value of which amounts to 6.5 million lei, according to Cosmin Vasile.
The notice for awarding the works contract is to be published in the Electronic Public Procurement System.
“We recover most of the investments of the Dolj County Council by accessing non-reimbursable European funds as part of a call for retrospective projects. We hope to be eligible and to tick off a new investment for which we manage to obtain European money”; says president CJ Dolj.
He also said that he visited the construction site of the new terminal, where work is being done at an alert pace on all three building bodies, as well as on the movement infrastructure.
“The advance of the works is visible and, if the weather permits, we will see a rapid evolution of the construction”, said Cosmin Vasile.
