Former basketball superstar Michael Jordan’s latest toy is a Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster.
For the sum of approximately three million dollars, approximately 2.78 million euros at the current exchange rate, he took home a racing car capable of reaching, at least theoretically, the maximum speed of 500 km/h.
As is known, motor sports is a great passion for Michael Jordan. He actually co-owns the 23XI team, which competes in the Nascar Cup Series.
The Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster is a roadster with a mid-rear 6.6 liter V8 biturbo engine, capable of delivering a maximum power of 1,842 hp at 8,000 rpm with an equally terrifying peak torque of 1,617 Nm at 5,000 rpm.
Transmission with double clutch gearbox and rear wheel drive. The chassis is made of carbon fiber, which keeps the car light. Acceleration 0-97 km/h (0-60 miles per hour) in 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 500 km/h is assumed, although it was never actually demonstrated.
Anyone interested in buying one of these hypercars should arm themselves with patience and hope. The entire production run of the Venom F5 is limited to 24 pieces, all of which have been sold as of August 2021.
