“Today we presented them with our very clear position: a 25% revenue increase. They are free to make the necessary calculations and, of course, the normative act stipulating as a guarantee that the debutant’s salary will be the equivalent of the average salary in the economy and will be taken into account in the future unified salary law”, declared the leader of the Federation ” Spiru Haret”, Marius Nistor.
He added that the unions made “a presentation” of their position, and the authorities remain to analyze and respond.
The trade unionists also rejected the vouchers given to the teachers.
Asked what will happen to the students’ exams, the union leaders replied: “the moment the government comes with a very clear decision, with a clear answer to our demands, then our colleagues will decide whether to suspend this action or not.” .
They expressed their hope that they will be called back to the negotiations on Friday.
Regarding what the prime minister said, according to which he offered everything he could offer, the union leaders declared that he “should come down to earth a little”, possibly talk directly with those in the schools, “see how it is far from reality”.
Toto unionists declared that the number of education employees who joined the strike is close to 200,000.
