“I think there are two very important levels: the first is the dialogue, both with the academic environment and with the business environment, with investors. We have many investors in Timisoara who have made the transition in the last twenty years from production to research and development. We, as the administration, are in constant dialogue with these investors and see how their development needs can be coordinated with our development plans. Secondly, you must also have equipment to work with, and that means investing very seriously in the education system in Timisoara. We have now submitted a project with European funds for a large dual education campus in technological fields in which universities are also involved. We want to actually create a pathway from high school to researcher level. It’s a big project, over 20 million euros, we invest a lot in schools in Timişoara”, said Dominic Fritz during the ZF Live business show.
The local administration of Timisoara owns the infrastructure of pre-university schools, so it can invest in the buildings and equipment of these schools, says Fritz. Investments in school infrastructure in Timisoara amount to 30 million lei this year.
“We have investments of over 30 million lei this year in the school infrastructure in Timişoara and we spend several tens of millions of lei for equipment for repairs in schools and for programs that manage to coagulate several environments, i.e. the environment of schools, universities and the environment of business”, adds Fritz.
