A ride with the new BMW 5 Series on Czech roads is about to happen. Let’s remind him one more time.
We already know a lot about the new BMW 5 Series, including the Czech prices, which were published shortly after the debut. Now the car has a worldwide driving presentation and the brand shares a very generous photo gallery with us. Even before the first drives in the Czech environment and proper tests, we can take a look at the new product in the very last detail, even in several specifications.

The big advantage of the new BMW 5 series is the wide choice of engines, although some are prohibited for our markets. In order to satisfy the needs of a certain group of customers and the European Union, both the purely electric version of the i5 and the plug-in hybrid are available in two versions. The more powerful 550e xDrive is even an engine based on a six-cylinder engine and offers a combined output of 489 horsepower.
To satisfy the needs of more traditional customers, there are also internal combustion engines without significant electrical assistance. The 520i petrol engine attracts a very interesting price of CZK 1,467,700, which is of course great for the upper middle class, but you will have to make do with 208 horsepower. But it’s still a classic hatchback with a great Steptronic automatic.

We expect a good sales life for the two-liter diesel hiding under the designation 520d, which is also available with xDrive all-wheel drive. It costs CZK 1,524,900, respectively CZK 1,587,300 as xDrive. The performance of 197 horses is not impressive, on the other hand, the 60-liter fuel tank and consumption of between five and six liters promise a range of over 1,000 kilometers.
