The Chinese concern Chery has a whole range of brands with models of different sizes and drives. This comes in handy when strategically conquering Europe with vastly different regions. He plans to bring three car companies here.

The Chinese car giants are known for a number of associated brands. Chery Automobile will start conquering the main European markets immediately with three representatives – Omoda, Jaecoo and Exlantix, which is a brand new car company focused on electric cars.

We have already presented you with the above-averagely equipped Omoda 5 SUV. The novelty will be launched in Spain at the end of this year with an internal combustion engine, and it is going to the UK and Germany next year. Versions with plug-in hybrid and electric drive will also find application there. It is the wide selection of drives, together with the starting price of around 700,000 CZK, that are the strongest aces in the sleeve when expanding to selected markets.

At the turn of the year, the Omod 5 will be joined by the larger SUV Jaecoo 7 with a length of 4.5 meters, which is intended primarily for the Italian market. In the first wave, it will be available with a 1.6-liter T-GDi gasoline engine with 137 kW and 275 Nm of torque. This version will be mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. A plug-in hybrid will arrive next year.

The line-up will be completed by the newly founded electric car company Exlantix. It has already introduced the E03 sedan and the E0Y SUV, and it is not expected to enter the European market until 2025.

In order to make it not so far to Europe, Chery is considering buying or building a local assembly plant. A decision is expected to be made next year, depending on how things go in the initial period.
