Of course, electromobility does not only apply to cars, but also to other sectors of transport. Ships and boats are no exception, and we have one for you today. What is he doing on the car website? Well, in the guts of the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air, which has just been unveiled in Italy, you’ll find a Porsche engine. In fact, this is where the electric drive of the new Porsche Macan, which is also preparing for its premiere, makes its debut.
It’s not uncommon to combine cars and boats, but think of the Riva Aquarama with twin 12-cylinder Lamborghini engines. True, the connection of the Porsche electric motor with the boat is not so romantic, but at least it gives us an idea of what the new SUV is capable of, since the drive specifications have also been published. The boat even uses PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform components.
The synchronous electric motor, located of course at the back, has an output of 400 kW (544 hp). It is powered by a 100kWh battery. However, we already know from an earlier press release that the Macan will have up to 603 hp and 1000 Nm twister. But back to the boat. The optimal speed for him is 41 km/h and he can drive like this for an hour. With a more economical style, it can sail over a hundred kilometers. On the other hand, in Sport Plus mode, it can reach a speed of up to 85 km/h. Thanks to the 800-volt architecture, the boat can be powered with up to 350 kW.
Price? 561,700 euros, converted to 13,809,560 CZK. the public presentation will take place in January next year at the exhibition in Düsseldorf. In the same year, the boats will be delivered to customers, only 25 will be built in the first edition. Those interested can apply on this website.
