In the second generation, the stylish crossover brings a lot of smart technology as well as sharp versions for gasoline and electricity.

Already at the introduction of the first version (F39) in 2017, BMW made sure that the X2 was perceived as something more than just an X1 with a flowing rear. The new generation underlines this difference even more with its distinctive and, it must be said, brilliant design.

At the front, the kidney grilles, which, unlike other BMWs, do not resemble beaver teeth – they have a nice shape and can even be illuminated. Here you can notice interesting LED lights (matrix and adaptive on request) as well as a distinctive dark grille in the lower part of the bumper. The rear fenders are supposed to look like tight muscles, the flowing rear ends with an interesting spoiler and lights that are supposed to distinguish the new X2 from the rest of the BMW range.

In terms of colors, customers can choose between two pastel and eleven metallic lacquers. There is also a wide range of BMW Individual programs available.

The BMW iX1 will make customers think differently. Parity was achieved with incinerators and with non-premium competition

The new BMW X2 has a length of 4554 mm, which is 194 millimeters longer than its predecessor. It is also 21mm wider and 64mm taller. 560 to 1,470 liters can now fit in the trunk, while the electric iX2 still has a respectable 525 to 1,400 liters.

The chassis of the car is based on the previous generation, but BMW has of course made a number of modifications and improvements. The front axle with transverse lower arms has newly tuned kinematics and stiffness, thanks to which the transfer of torque to the steering has been reduced. Camber is now 15% greater, which benefits straight-line stability. At the rear, there is a three-link axle on a subframe with a fixed mount. There will also be an adaptive M chassis with frequency-selective damping, the ground clearance can be reduced by 15 mm.

First ride with the BMW X2: This piece to the Bavarian puzzle makes sense to us!

In terms of drive, everyone can choose – petrol, diesel and electricity are available. The basis is the three-cylinder version sDrive20i, it is a 15-cylinder, working in the Miller cycle, which, in combination with a 48V mild-hybrid system, will produce 125 kW and 280 Nm. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds and claims 6.0 to 6.5 l/100 km. You give for her 1,041,300 CZK and above.

The powerful X2 will also be available from the premiere M35i xDrive with an in-line four-cylinder, tuned to 221 kW (300 hp) and 400 Nm. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds, stands from 1,466,400 CZK. The diesel is represented by the X2 version sDrive18d with a four-cylinder engine with an output of 110 kW (150 hp) and 360 Nm, which overcomes 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds and promises a consumption of just over five liters per hundred. You will get it for CZK 1,051,700.

The BMW X1 also got a sports version. The M35i xDrive gets by with a two-liter engine with 300 horsepower

You currently get electricity in the form of iX2 xDrive30 with two electric motors and all-wheel drive. It will offer the highest output of 230 kW (313 hp) and 494 Nm. The battery has a capacity of 64.8 kWh and should manage 417 to 449 km according to WLTP with a consumption of 16.3 to 17.7 kWh. DC charging is possible up to 130 kW, you can ideally go from 10 to 80% in 29 minutes, while if you catch the high-power part of the curve, 120 kilometers will be added in ten minutes.

Speaking of the curve, the iX2 adopts the intelligent charging software from the i5, which keeps the curve nice and smooth when charging more, instead of abruptly reducing the charging power. Of course, the battery has heating and cooling. You can pay for an electric four-wheeler 1,384,500 CZKa version with a single axle drive and an even more attractive price will certainly appear in the future.
