The car is offered in Los Angeles, has 105,000 miles, good service history and new tires. You can buy it for 11,000 dollars, which is roughly 260 thousand crowns. Up until then, a completely normal ad – before you look under the car.

The owner apparently ran out of patience with the naysayers, so he had a Roxor cage added under the car to protect the catalytic converter. Shaped concrete reinforcements are welded directly into the car’s structure, making possible theft much more difficult, if not deterring thieves.

A clever solution. It’s almost as if a typical Czech handyman made it at home in his garage. We’d just like to see the expression on the mechanics’ faces when you arrive at the service center to replace the exhaust or catalytic converter. It must also be fun at the technical inspection…
