If Apple releases the cheaper Vision Pro headset, it will probably be a truncated version. She should have fewer external cameras, the EyeSight function will also be missing and instead of the Mac chip it will be used iPhone chip.

In his Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman reported that the company is considering these options as way to bring the price down to about $1,500 to $2,500. By comparison, the price of the original Vision Pro headset, which is due to go on sale in early 2024, starts at an incredible 3,500 dollars.

In an earlier report, Gurman said the cheaper Vision Pro will also be used lower resolution displays. According to him, everything now indicates that Apple may drops the external displaywhich enables the function EyeSight (EyeSight projects the user’s eyes onto an OLED display, allowing an outside observer to see what their attention is focused on). However, this feature was one of the main draws when the Apple Vision Pro was announced.

According to Gurman, work is already underway on the continuation of the Vision Pro premium model. The latter will have EyeSight and potentially a lighter construction, should be an important feature as well built-in prescription contact lenses.
