In recent months, news about the price increase of new cars has been the order of the day, so any information about a discount on the Czech market is a pleasant surprise. You can currently buy a Toyota Corolla TS, i.e. a lower-middle-class station wagon, which compares with, for example, the Skoda Octavia or the Kia Ceed. The hybrid station wagon receives a discount of CZK 50,000 in all versions, and you can save another twenty-five thousand when buying your existing car.

However, the advantages of the Corolla ST do not end there. Winter footwear sets are free, you can also take advantage of a 30% discount on selected original accessories and a sale on gift items of the same value. Depending on the selected version, you can get a discount of up to CZK 119,900! Toyota also offers the option of operational leasing, the station wagon starts at CZK 6,900 per month without VAT.

And what variants are actually available? The car gets two hybrid drives – a 140-horsepower 18-liter and a 196-horsepower two-liter. The combined consumption of both variants varies from 4.4 to 4.7 l / 100 km, and from our tests you already know that these are not just spreadsheets, but the Corolla can really drive economically.

The benefit of a station wagon is a large luggage compartment. The weaker hybrid offers 596 liters as standard, with the rear seats folded down we reach a total volume of 1,606 liters. The more powerful engine has a slightly smaller trunk – 586 or 1,591 liters respectively. Toyota announces that it now has a large number of cars in stock, i.e. for immediate collection. And customers have plenty to choose from, as the Corolla TS is available in five trim levels. Even the basic Active is equipped with automatic two-zone air conditioning, a rear parking camera and an eight-inch multimedia system screen. The higher Comfort boasts a digital instrument panel, a larger 10.5″ infotainment system with navigation and front LED fog lights.

For the more demanding, there is the Style variant with Bi-LED headlights and their washers, tinted rear windows, keyless unlocking and starting, a wireless smartphone charger or front and rear parking sensors. The highest Executive version has headlights with an adaptive function, there is also a blind spot monitoring system and a safe exit assistant. In addition to the aforementioned technologies, a ten-inch head-up display is also available in the interior. And we can’t forget the sporty GR Sport equipment either.

And the prices? Corolla ST with 18-seat Active trim costs CZK 642,900, including a promotional discount of 50,000 and a bonus of 25,000 for an older car. Just for comparison – the current Octavia Combi price list starts at CZK 659,900 for the 1.5 TSI engine with a six-speed manual. If you would like an automatic (which the Corolla TS always has due to the drive), prepare at least CZK 709,900.

Various packages are also available across equipment. We were particularly interested in the Business package for CZK 15,000, which you can purchase for the basic Active equipment. For a modest extra charge, you can also get a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, an electrically controlled lumbar support for the driver, a rear armrest with cup holders or front fog lights.
