The trailer shows us, for example, redesigned Matrix-LED headlights, LED rear lights with animated graphics and crystal elements, as well as signs of the new Modern Solid design language, which was presented for the first time on the Vision 7S electric concept. In the cabin, we find multi-function Smart Dials, modeled on the new Kodiaq, while the gear selector (now automatic only) has moved to the steering column, making room for a center console with ample storage space.
Škoda calls the new product “the flagship of the brand with internal combustion engines” and we already know that there will be a choice of six engines, where the gasoline and diesel variants will be supplemented by a plug-in hybrid of the new generation with the possibility of quick charging and a range of around 100 kilometers per charge. The four-cylinder 2.0 TSI petrol engine with an output of 195 kW and all-wheel drive looks particularly attractive on paper. Four-wheel drive is standard for stronger two-liter versions, weaker engines turn the front wheels. In the new generation, the Superb completely says goodbye to the manual, the DSG automatic will become standard.
The world premiere of the new Superb will take place on Thursday 2 November from 19:00 and the automaker will broadcast it live on its own Škoda Storyboard platform, but also across social networks (YouTube, X – formerly Twitter – and LinkedIn). At that moment, we will also learn all the remaining details about the car. Of course, the Garáž.cz editors cannot be absent from the festive unveiling, and we will bring you the first live impressions directly from the place.
How are you looking forward to the new Škoda Superb?
I was more interested in the Kodiaq.
