The Prague road workers started the reconstruction of the north-south highway in the direction from the center, namely in the section from Nuselské bridge to the intersection with Táborská street. Traffic restrictions in place will last until December 17. Workers will replace the road surface during the repair. This follows from information published on the municipality’s website oprajujeme.to, where drivers can find details about traffic restrictions.

The reconstruction of the section will cost 21.5 million crowns without VAT and will be carried out by Eurovia CS for the municipal company Technical Communications Administration (TSK). In the direction to the center, TSK will repair the road next year.

The surface of the road of about one kilometer from Nuselské bridge to Táborská street is 12 years old. Just like the road surface, it has a lot of cracks and does not meet the anti-noise parameters. The road workers will therefore remove the surface to a depth of ten centimeters and replace it with a new one, which will also be anti-noise. Workers will adjust drainage, level and replace damaged curbs, or level the height of other utility covers.

On the Nuselské bridge, the left lane will be closed in the direction from the center from November 4 to December 15. Passage will be possible with two lanes in the same lane and one lane in the opposite direction. Further narrowings will follow in the vicinity of the bridge, depending on the progress of the work. The workers will also close a part of Štětkova street in the direction of Pankráckého náměstí towards 5. května.
