Ford has consistently had very good results in the NASCAR series. With a new special for the 2024 season, he intends to continue them.
With the seventh generation of the Ford Mustang came the top Dark Horse version and with it a series of racing specials. With them, Ford will go to the circuits through versions for the GT3 and GT4 series, but also to sprints with the Mustang Super Cobra Jet with an output of 1800 hp. The family will welcome another member Feb. 4 at the Clash at the Coliseum, which opens NASCAR’s championship season.
In this series, Ford has been competing with the Mustang since 2011, specifically in the Xfinitiy Cup class dedicated to more road cars. Here, the Mustang helped win the Drivers’ or Owners’ Cup, where points are awarded to a specific car, in nine of the twelve years and brought the Constructors’ Cup to the pits in 2011 and 2013.
After coming to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2019, he collected 18 wins in 2020 and two years later, Joey Logano won a full season with him. The Mustang dominated the Daytona 500 twice and crossed the finish line first at the Southern 500 and the Brickyard 40.
