Eight years ago, the world saw the third generation of Škoda Superb. Go back in time with us for its premiere. She was extremely magnificent.
Not only the Czech motoring public is currently experiencing the premiere of the 4th generation Škoda Superb. The premiere was spectacular and of course we couldn’t miss it. But what was it like at the introduction of the previous generation? Through the photos, you can travel with us to 2015, when Johnny Depp married actress Amber Heard, Bill Gates tasted filtered water from feces, and the adaptation of the book 50 Shades of Gray entered theaters (yes, it flies).
The premiere took place on February 17 at the Karlín Forum, accompanied by the Czech Philharmonic. So the brand did not wait for the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, but gave us the premiere at home so that the attention at the event was not distracted among dozens of other cars. February 17 was simply ours, and hundreds of journalists from 35 countries, including China and Algeria, could pay attention to one and only one of the most successful cars of our domestic brand.
There were not only representatives of the car company and journalists, but also celebrities. Karel Gott and his wife Ivana, Michal David and Marta Jandová pleased with their presence at the event. Everyone then witnessed the Superb Symphony, which was composed specifically for this occasion and performed by the Czech Philharmonic. The symphony was composed by the Hungarian-German musician and music producer Leslie Mandoki.
Chairman of the board Winfried Vahland commented on the premiere by saying: “With this car, the Škoda brand enters a new era. In recent years, we have renewed and expanded our model range. The new generation of the Superb model will intensify the changes and further emotionalize the brand. Škoda Superb is proof of our considerable ambitions in the automotive middle class. It reaches a top level in terms of technology and design and reveals the current position of the Škoda Auto company. This great car will excite new customers from the private and business spheres for the Škoda brand.”
