The Car of the Year 2024 survey is underway. Both Porsche and Lexus have a chance to succeed. Don’t look for damage this year

The jubilee 30th year of the Car of the Year poll in the Czech Republic knows the nominated cars, from which the winner will be announced on February 6, 2024 based on the vote of an expert jury. She will get to know all the nominated cars on November 28 during the first press drives. A total of 21 cars from seventeen different brands are vying for the prize. The five finalists will be announced on December 5. Shortly after the new year, the jury will select the winner from among the finalists.

And what kind of cars are these? The Japanese automaker Lexus has the strongest representation, which has three models registered – the large SUV RX, the spacious MPV LM and the electric car RZ. We have more electric cars in the survey. In addition to Lexus, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 or Hyundai Kona Electric will also compete for the position. There are also plenty of plug-in hybrids, such as the Alfa Romeo Tonale Q4 PHEV or the Toyota Prius PHEV.

Among the nominees you will also find a leisure or work Ford Bronco. The new version of the Porsche Cayenne also found its way here. Škoda is not in this year’s poll, he has nothing to report.
