The stated age indicates that it is a second-generation Superb, which was presented by the Mladá Boleslav car company in March 2008. However, the practically unused piece from 2013 is now in a modernized design, so it boasts a redesigned front mask and new headlights at the front and rear.
And this is a body design with an unusual, double opening of the trunk lid – the manufacturer named it TwinDoor. At the push of one button, only the lid opens like in a classic sedan, with another touch it is possible to open the entire rear part, including the rear window. Thanks to this unique idea, the second Superb is both a sedan and a liftback.
Under the hood is a two-liter turbodiesel with an output of 103 kW (140 hp), connected to a six-speed manual transmission. It was this engine that was ideal for owners and drivers who wanted or had to travel long distances in the Superb and at the same time cared about fuel consumption and costs.
Therefore, for such an old specimen with this technique, we would rather expect a six-figure raid. The mere 14,000 kilometers reported by the seller are really very unusual and surprising.
At least in the photos, the black Superb looks really well-preserved, both from the outside and above all from the inside. For example, the seats, upholstered in leather and Alcantara, seem almost untouched, and even the side panels show no signs of wear. And notice, for example, the protection of the cargo edge of the trunk.
The equipment also looks decent. The car in the Elegance version offers, for example, bi-xenon headlights, Columbus infotainment with navigation, parking assistant, decor imitating the look of wood, two-zone automatic air conditioning, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats or perhaps a multifunctional steering wheel.
And the price? This, of course, reflects the low mileage and unique condition. A ten-year-old Superb 2.0 TDI with a manual transmission and 14,000 kilometers on the odometer is for sale for 21,990 euros, which translates to about 540,000 crowns.
At the same time, the price of a comparably equipped Škoda Superb – only with a higher mileage – can easily fit within 300,000 crowns.
