Patent images of the facelifted Captur have recently hit the Internet, which quite clearly indicate what to expect from the new model in terms of exterior appearance. Apparently, it will change significantly, especially for the front parts.

The facelift bears some resemblance to the recent transformation of the relative small hatchback Clio, but also offers specific features. The Captur will get new headlights, significantly narrower and “cloudier”, there will also be a new front fascia, a different bumper with interestingly designed lamps in its corners and, of course, a new logo of the French car company.

In addition, the existence of patent images was used by the well-known graphic artist and virtual artist Nikita Čujko, who prepared a realistic-looking vision of the modernized Captur for the Kolesa motoring website based on these images.

Nikita’s idea looks very interesting, the urban crossover after the transformation looks significantly more aggressive and sharper than the current version with a smooth front and a rather cute expression.

According to some sources, Renault could introduce the rejuvenated Captur before the end of the year, but the premiere may also be at the beginning of next year. During the unveiling, we will certainly learn information about changes in the interior or the range of engines.

The current range of power units is quite diverse. It includes a standard three-cylinder petrol version (TCe 90), a version capable of burning LPG (TCe 100 LPG), two mild-hybrids (mild hybrid 140 and mild hybrid 160), a classic hybrid (E-Tech full hybrid 145) and an externally chargeable hybrid (E-Tech plug-in 160).
