Another piece from Ken Block’s collection is up for sale. You will also enjoy it in the normal world.
LBI Limited recently auctioned Ken Block’s collection of four cars, namely two Ford Fiestas, a 1986 Ford RS2000 and a Ford F150 Hoonitruck. Now collectors have a chance to fight over Ken’s next crazy creation. With a price of CZK 4,400,000, a new owner is looking for a Ford F-150 RaptorTRAX, which played the main role in the video Ken Block’s RaptorTRAX Shredfest with Zak Hale & Ethan Deissfilmed in Canada’s Baldfac.
Taking a closer look at the car, it is a 2009 Ford F-150 SuperCab enhanced with body parts from a 2013 model year Raptor. The wild look is given a complete decal combining matte green and black paint with sponsor logos and Ken’s skull. Visually wider shoulders give it widened fenders.
The car served Block and his friends during winter fun. It has Custom Glassworks Unlimited strength bumpers, undercarriage protection and additional lighting for added off-road durability. Furthermore, the roof rack for transporting sports equipment and the frame protecting passengers on the rear outer seats cannot be overlooked. They also enjoy music streaming from the waterproof speakers.
Most of the year, the Raptor sits on blue-painted Fifteen52 wheels with 2015 Toyo tires. Once it hits the snowy plains, it switches to a versatile set of Mattracks 105M1-A1 tracks that perform in mud and gravel. Because of them, the Raptor has different upper and lower mounts and long-wall King shocks. Playing around with such footwear also requires higher performance. Therefore, instead of the original 5.8-liter eight-cylinder, there is a larger Boss unit with a Whipple compressor and a volume of 6.2 liters. It is connected to a six-speed automatic.
The fact that the car was really used for fun and active use is evidenced by various abrasions and surface scratches on the bodywork, rear-view mirrors, wheels, belts and rear frame. The interior remained mostly in stock condition. Racing seats with multi-point belts have been added, and the crew is protected by a complete frame covered with suede. Of course, the controllers of the added accessories have also been added.
It is natural that cheaper pieces are chosen for such conversions. For example, Ken’s rally Impreza was completely damaged by the floods. This Raptor has been meticulously maintained throughout, but the ride cannot be guaranteed. The discrepancy is related to May 2019, when an inspection was carried out at the branded service. However, prior to the actual sale, the Raptor underwent preparation at Autocar Bespoke in Philadelphia.
The Ford F-150 is one of the best-selling cars in the world, especially on the American continent. In 2020, the manufacturer introduced the 14th generation of the popular Ford F-150 pick-up.
