An impressive-looking fan mod for Fallout: London has received an official release date, which is set for April 23. The development team claims that the game is already finished, but that they need these last few months for testing.

Fallout: London is a mod for Fallout 4 by Bethesda. As the name suggests, players look into a post-apocalyptic version of London. The release date trailer shows iconic locations such as Big Ben, the Globe Theatre, Trafalgar Square and many more.

The Folon development team claims that the European city will not be just empty backdrops. The mod takes players on story journeys that “explore pre-war European history” and they look at how the war in the world of Fallout has affected the “class-structured society”. It is a direct sequel to Fallout 4, so you will need the PC version of the original title to run the mod.

Fallout: London has been in development for more than three years and was expected to be completed in 2022 or 2023. The Folon team says the delay was unavoidable because many of the team members “come from a conflict-affected region,” possibly referring to Ukraine.

While in Europe the release date is of little importance, in Britain, April 23rd is St. George’s Day. It is a day full of celebrations and parades. It’s also just a week after the Fallout series hits Amazon Prime Video.
