For the third generation Tiguan, Volkswagen has set a generous starting price. Especially less demanding customers will cheer.

Last September, the Volkswagen Tiguan boasted the third generation with the most modern technology of the group. Between generations, it was lengthened by 3 cm, safety and assistance systems were added, and the quality of additional equipment was improved. In it you will find, for example, an adaptive chassis, remote-controlled parking, a panoramic camera system and other elements. However, we are currently interested in what we get in the complete base for CZK 899,900.

The lowest trim level is called the Tiguan and is exclusively connected to the four-cylinder mild-hybrid eTSI with a volume of 1.5 liters and an output of 96 kW. The manual transmission is a relic, so we have a seven-speed DSG automatic here. The only paint without extra charge is Pure white. Five metallic and black mother-of-pearl costs from CZK 9,500 to CZK 13,500, Volkswagen charges CZK 19,900 for white mother-of-pearl. Seventeen-inch Bari wheels look decent, and with tall rubber you won’t be afraid of curbs.

The new Subaru Impreza is finally in the Czech Republic. It's not much cheaper than its off-road brother

Melange fabric covers the dark interior. The front seats are heated and height adjustable. Further inside, we find air conditioning, 2 USB-C ports, cup holders, a multifunctional leather steering wheel and electrically operated mirrors. Electronic toys include keyless start, a choice of driving modes, a 10.25-inch digital shield and a 12.9-inch multimedia device ready for further expansion. Drivers will be supported on the road by hill start assistant, lane keeping, anti-collision assistant and complete LED lights.

The All-in-one package for CZK 33,100 is worth mentioning as an extra. Features 3-zone air conditioning, power folding tow bar, wireless App-Connect and textile carpets. You will save a total of CZK 10,900 on it.

Apparently, for the first time, Volkswagen’s less demanding clients will prefer the domestic Škoda. The new Kodiaq with a two-liter TDI starts at CZK 1,040,000. If you would also like a petrol fifteen-cylinder, you have to choose the still available previous generation from 1,069,000 CZK. The Kodiaq is more expensive, but it also offers a little more. The exterior has chrome trims, stands on 18-inch wheels, and the headlights have matrix technology.

More luxurious features include contactless opening of the trunk lid, keyless entry and start, heated windshield, wireless phone charger, umbrella in the driver’s door, 8-inch infotainment with navigation, heated steering wheel, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, panoramic camera system and much more.

The cheapest new Škoda Kodiaq in the Czech Republic just looks cheap. It has a popular engine and luxurious equipment

Demands will therefore play a major role, because if you were to tune the Tiguan anyway, you would have to go at least for the Elegance equipment (from 1,108,900 CZK), but rather for the top R-Lin starting at 1,175,900. But if you’re only looking for a spacious SUV, Volkswagen is finally becoming available to a wider range of people.
