The Ford Kuga is now a real SUV full of useful technical features. You can place orders already this month.
Ford presents a rejuvenated version of its popular Kuga model. The car has only a few changes on the outside, one of them being the light strip connecting the front headlights. Otherwise, the appearance of the car does not change in any fundamental way, and at first glance the novelty will also be recognizable in operation. But if there was one thing this car lacked, it was some rough-looking versions. Customers simply hear about the protective plastic moldings, and the Kuga before the facelift was so sleek.
Now you have the option of the Active X equipment with extra coating, which is second to what you already know, i.e. the Titanium or ST-Line equipment. Inside, you will find the latest version of the Sync 4 infotainment with twice the computing power of its predecessor – it has a 5G connection, online navigation, Alexa voice assistant or wireless smartphone connection.
The Trailer Tow Navigation function for towing trailers (up to 2100 kg) is also handy, and after entering the dimensions of your rig, it calculates the route in the navigation so that you avoid low underpasses and narrow streets. The Kuga has borrowed this function from its big American brothers with a body. A 360-degree camera will then come in handy for connecting the trailer. Otherwise, the car also boasts a new generation of adaptive cruise control that can brake before corners.
Automatic high beam headlights are standard, with the option to upgrade to Dynamic Pixel LED headlights with surrounding traffic coverage. Under the hood, you will find a 150-horsepower EcoBoost engine with a manual and front-wheel drive as standard. There is also a hybrid 2.5 with an output of 180 hp in the case of front-wheel drive and 183 hp in the case of four-wheel drive. The previous version had 190 horses in both cases. The hybrid is always with the e-CVT automatic transmission.
The top of the range is a plug-in hybrid with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which increased from 225 hp to 243 hp. Thanks to the battery with a capacity of 14.4 kWh, it offers a range of up to 69 km on electricity and, in combination with a full tank of petrol, promises a driving range of up to 900 km. The new Kuga will arrive in the Czech Republic in April of this year, and orders will start already in January.
