The service is provided by more than 1300 operators. Additional recharge points are added at a rocket pace.
The German brand tries to make charging electric cars as easy as possible for its customers. They can use the Electric Intelligence function directly in the MBUX infotainment system, which calculates the route including stops at stands or charging points. Authentication can be done either in the on-board system, the Mercedes me app, the Mercedes me card or thanks to the Plug & Charge function, which automatically identifies the car for payment in the monthly bill.
The Mercedes me Charge service works at 600,000 charging points in Europe, 800,000 in Asia and 100,000 in North America. Of the total number of over 1.5 million points, there are 170,000 charging stations with an output of over 150 kW. And more points add up quickly.
“Mercedes me Charge is one of the fastest growing charging networks. In 2023, an average of 40,000 charging points were integrated every month. We thus provide our customers with a comprehensive network characterized by transparent prices and easy access. “Mercedes me Charge fulfills the basic needs of customers in the area of public charging.” said Franz Reiner, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG.
