The most powerful MG4 can handle 100 km/h in under 4 seconds, and offers the equipment of sharp sportsmen. But the price remains a regular crossover.
One of the indisputable advantages of electric cars is the easy availability of power. Yes, the Kia EV6 GT costs CZK 1,780,980, but which of the combustion “dinosaurs” will offer 450 kW of power with a torque of 740 Nm and acceleration to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds for the same price? Now MG is also entering the game with the powerful MG4 XPower model and that is an even more interesting offer.
Given MG’s strategy, it’s no surprise that it will leave the fast ride even cheaper. True, you have to compromise a little on the claims, but even 320 kW (435 hp) with 600 Nm of torque and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 are very healthy values. Especially when the sharp crossover starts at 1,064,900 CZK. It is therefore only CZK 28,000 cheaper than the basic Volkswagen ID.3. In the case of the Green Edition line, the price even reaches 999,900 CZK.
The MG4 XPower uses a battery with a capacity of 64 kWh for a range of 385 kilometers. From the outside, the most powerful model draws attention to itself with a slightly modified front bumper with 18-inch wheels, LED lights and, in the case of the Green Edition, a special paintwork in the shade of British racing green.
In the interior, you sit in anatomical seats upholstered in artificial leather and Alcantara. They have heating and the driver’s seat also has electric positioning. Leather is also the heated steering wheel through which the driver looks at the 7-inch digital instrument panel. The 10.25-inch infotainment includes navigation, phone mirroring and a Wi-Fi hotspot. We also find a wireless charger, six airbags and automatic air conditioning.
All-wheel drive, heat pump, one-pedal control, controlled start and electronic differential lock make the drive more pleasant. From the assistance systems, you will be supported by automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors and a panoramic camera system.
You only pay an additional 16,000 CZK for the paint if you don’t like the basic white. There are six other colors to choose from plus the Green Edition.
