There is probably no need to discuss the importance of the Octavia in the Škoda range. Since 1996, it has sold over seven million copies in four generations. It can be assumed that the successful wave will be followed by a rejuvenated edition, the premiere of which will take place exclusively digitally on Valentine’s Day, i.e. February 14.

You can now shorten the wait to take down the virtual sail by looking at the official sketches. These primarily reveal the redesigned front end, which receives second-generation Matrix LED headlights with a completely new light signature extending into the bumper. It, too, is modernized, as is the more robust radiator grille.

The innovations at the rear of the liftback are already more discreet. The lights have a similar shape, but the facelift will certainly bring the Škoda inscription in a new font, where the hook is part of the first letter. We can’t see the cabin yet, but following the example of the recently rejuvenated Golf, we expect a larger screen of the multimedia system and especially new software, which was a big weakness of the outgoing Octavia.

Octavia’s new ass. Can you find three differences?

Škoda confirms that the new model will continue to be available as a liftback and station wagon, we will not lose the Sportline and RS variants either. The more adventurous Scout is not mentioned in the press release yet, but we assume that it will just arrive later.

The Octavia has been a bestseller of the Mladá Boleslav brand for a long time, the version with a backpack on the back has even been the best-selling station wagon in Europe since 2016. So if you don’t have better plans for Valentine’s Day, don’t forget to tune in for the festive premiere!
