This is no soft SUV (that’s what customers get the Bronco Sport from), this is a genuine off-road tool. Rigid frame separated from the body, disconnecting stabilizers for better crossing of axles, reduction gearbox, lockable differentials, mechanically connectable all-wheel drive, lots of electronic assistants, such as braking the rear inner wheel for faster turning on unpaved surfaces – from this list it must be clear, that Ford left nothing to chance. They wanted a car that could stand up to the Jeep Wrangler. And so they just built it.

Of course, riding a Bronco has its specifics. You sit well behind the wheel, the view is very good, the dashboard is square and vertical, as befits and belongs to an SUV, there are enough handles inside, the controls are sturdy and can be operated even with gloves… Well, and of course you also have to count with the fact that on the road this car will wobble and grind, the big all-terrain tires don’t have miraculous grip and their high sidewalls deform in corners, so you just can’t drive into the vingles as fast as you want, the aerodynamics collapse already at around 100 km/h, the tires it hums and about 14 liters disappear from the tank every 100 km.

You don’t even have to try very hard and for the same price (in this rougher Badlands version, it starts at just over 1.8 million CZK) you can get a more practical, more comfortable, quieter and more economical car, which at the same time can withstand most of the Czech terrain without any major problems. We don’t have steppes, deserts and jungles where the Bronco would make short work of it. And so the main selling point of the American SUV will be its absolutely undeniable style. This car is cool, people turn to it, and I haven’t taken the roof off yet due to the winter temperatures.

Just a few screws and the whole thing comes down, including the rear window and sides. Then just pull down the frameless windows at each door, disconnect one cable and you can easily install them. The mirrors remain on the A-pillars, so you can also go out on the public road – and then I guarantee that no one will miss you. There is no rational argument for a Bronco in our area. But there are enough irrational ones to sell a few here. You can find out more in the video.
